Trellis Arts

Trellis Arts is an aerial theatre company offering professional shows and training across Ontario and beyond. Founded by Nicole Malbeuf in 2018, Trellis collaborates with a select network of artists to share a love of performance, movement, and aerial practice through workshops, stage productions, public activations, and events.

We are a community of artists, instructors, and partners committed to creating work that benefits people and the planet. Our goal is to foster joyful, healthy experiences for audiences, participants, and our team, and to spark a sense of responsibility for a kinder, more livable world.

How we put this into practice — Performance

• Devise, present, and tour imaginative works that blend aerial arts, dance, and theatre
• Center Ontario communities with programming for all ages and keep access as affordable as possible
• Tell stories that celebrate nature, encourage environmental care, and uplift social justice
• Reduce our footprint by traveling thoughtfully, hiring locally when we can, consuming less, and managing materials responsibly

• Prioritize personal progress, safety, and long-term physical well-being
• Welcome all bodies and backgrounds with inclusive, adaptive teaching
• Teach with a holistic lens, caring for the whole person
• Combine time-tested technique with current movement science and research
