The Spin City Intermediate Aerial Sling Instructor Course builds upon beginner knowledge by introducing new sling techniques, refined movement vocabulary, and strategic class design. You’ll learn how to safely transition students into higher slings, teach essential wraps such as seatbelt and arabesque, and incorporate dynamic sequences to keep classes challenging and engaging. The curriculum also includes coaching methods to structure progress chains, avoid plateaus, and support student growth.
All techniques in the course use a single-point sling rigging. The program blends theory and practical training, with assessments that include video demonstrations and written exams. On successful completion, you’ll receive certification to teach at the intermediate level.
Must be 18 years or older
Hold a Beginners Aerial Sling Instructor certification (or equivalent)
Recommended: ≥ 2 years of aerial sling experience
Access to internet and a device for video upload / viewing
Access to a properly rigged aerial sling in a safe environment
Plan for ~2 hours of weekly study / training to complete within 1 year
At least one student (adult, 18+) for teaching assessments
