Polina Shapkina

Polina is a Dublin-based contemporary aerialist who specializes in hoop and fire performance. Active on Irish stages since 2016, she co-founded the circus-theatre outfit Erebidae, creating full-length shows and shorter pieces presented across Ireland as well as in India and Thailand. Her work explores identity, nature, and archetype—threads that inform both her solo practice and ensemble direction. Recent activity includes teaching at major Irish aerial gatherings and developing new spectacle projects
